In the bowl of a food processor, process the walnuts and garlic until coarsely chopped, about 10 seconds. Add the basil leaves and salt and blend for about 30 seconds until homogenous. With the motor running, pour the olive oil through the feed tube and process until the pesto is thoroughly blended. Add the Parmesan and process a minute more. This pesto will keep up to a week in the fridge.
