Preheat the air fryer to 380 degrees F. Cut the tops off the heads of garlic and place on a piece of aluminum foil large enough to bring up the sides and wrap around the top. Before you close the foil pour the oil on top and sprinkle with salt. Close ends of foil over garlic, creating a pouch. Air fry until garlic is jammy and soft, 18 to 20 minutes. Open the air fryer and then open the foil pouch very carefully, as hot steam will escape. Let cool until you can handle it and squeeze the garlic cloves out from the cloves. You can use right away, refrigerate or freeze to use for later.
